I'm an online biz strategist who specializes in helping entrepreneur's grow highly engaged profitable email lists and sales funnels as well as empowers them to create a business and life they love through fitness, nutrition, self care and mindset.

I started my first business when I was 20 years old (I'm now 33) and I've basically played the roll of Jill of all trades from sales, customer service and content creation to the tech of designing and setting up websites, email marketing software, setting up a video studio and doing all of my own editing.

My Mom always said that when I was a kid when she would tell me that I can't do something I'd say "watch me". lol

There's not much I won't try and tackle. And as my family and hubby will tell you I'm stubborn and driven and stick with things until they work.

I became an Entrepreneur by accident. lol

All through high school I was dead set on the fact I was going to become a doctor. And not just any doctor--a neonatal surgeon. So all of my courses were geared towards that.

I was in Michael's craft store one day when I was pregnant with my first son and my Mom and I were at the checkout.

We noticed they were offering cake decorating classes and thought it'd be fun to take one. I had lots of found memories of my mom making really cool cakes. My favourite was a Ragedy Anne cake.

So we signed up and I started getting requests from Family and friends to do cakes. What started off as a hobby eventually became a career.

So at age 20 I opened a Custom Cake Shop and Bakery and forgot about med school.

I started off doing Bridal Shows (trade shows) to gain business and was advertising in every I could thinking the more I advertised the more I'd make.

I advertised in newspapers, magazines, door to door flyers, pamphlets, school plays, store bulletin boards, online websites, google ads. Anything you can think of I tried.

Well there's good and bad news to this story. The bad news was I ended up having to work even more to cover the advertising and half of it didn't even work.

The good news is from that I learned what works and what doesn't.

Once I figured out what advertising worked I quickly learned that if I wanted to increase my revenue for my brick and mortar business I was going to need to branch out.

I started teaching cake decorating and cookie decorating courses to kids and adults and they were selling out as fast as I could add them to the schedule.

Fast forward to 2014. My business was generating good income but still wasn't quite what I wanted. Along came B-School. It opened my eyes to a whole new possibility of what I could do with my business.

I decided I wanted to teach online and started creating my first online course. Cake School....

This is a pic from when I had a monthly teaching segment on Rogers Daytime TV for a year.

This is a pic from when I had a monthly teaching segment on Rogers Daytime TV for a year.

I decided to launch Cake School with a webinar. Now me being me, I tackled it head first without really knowing much about webinars at all. My first webinar tanked.

My saving grace though was my email list.

I sent out a daily email for a week following that failed webinar and ended up generating 5 sales for my $1000 course.

True story.

Without my email list I would have generated $0 from that failed webinar a few years ago.

It was my struck by lightning moment.

From then on I did everything I could to take full advantage of this amazing tool and learned the in and outs of not only getting people on my list, but discovering the art of how to keep them engaged.

The results….My business is now grossing over 6 figures a year.

Toss the confetti!

Now you may be wondering where the whole health coach thing comes in? Don't worry! I'm getting to it!

Let's go back about 2 years ago. I had just had my son Tyler, I was starting a new business and still running my own business and was the only employee for both besides being a Mom of 5.

I had no time.

I wasn't sleeping.

And while I was making relatively good meals for the fam jam I wasn't eating them because I felt like I had to get right back to working.

So I'd grab a pop and some chips or a chocolate bar for supper.

I was skipping breakfast and lunch. And at some point before bed I'd make myself something quick to eat and then go to sleep.

I felt like crap.

Insanely tired.

No time to myself and I wasn't caring for myself.

My mindset was crap.

Thinking everyone else can do this business thing but me.

That it was easy for everyone else and they could be successful but I couldn't because I'm me.

I was also gaining weight like no tomorrow because I was basically addicted to pop and crap.

It wasn't until I went to my first wedding dress fitting 6 months before my wedding that I took a look in the mirror and went "What the hell happened to you?"

My dress didn't fit. It was too tight.

I used to be this happy girl who would tackle anything with a smile on her face.

I was the girl that everyone was always calling a twig and would say they were jealous because I never gained any weight.

I was the girl that didn't let the little things get to her.

And I lost her.

Standing there I was...

...not overweight- but the heaviest I'd ever been outside of being pregnant

...Upset that my gorgeous wedding dress that put a perma-smile on my face when I first tried it on before ordering didn't fit and my wedding was 6 months away

...Defeated and felt jaded

Something had to change.

I grabbed a gym membership and started going to classes.

Which started off ok, but with being a Mom of 5 kids my time to go got less and less as they got more involved in activities themselves.

I started hearing advertisements on the radio about an online gym basically where you can log on at anytime select which workout you want to do and just workout at home. They even had a 14 day free trial.

So I signed up, downloaded the app and the workouts to my phone and every day up until my wedding I committed to doing an hour workout plus 5km of walking with youngest in the stroller.

I also started following the meals plans that workouts had.

I started seeing my friend Kerri posting about some great nutritional foods that people were getting results with so I ordered some shakes, bars and healthy "chips" and before you knew it I was back on track.

She also added me to her Facebook group for support. So I basically had a coach.

My dress fit perfectly.

My mood was soooooo much better.

I felt alive again.

My business started to improve.

I started delegating others to take over tasks in my business so I could focus on the bigger things.

I was looking forward to things.

I had my drive back.

It even inspired me to sign up to take a Fitness & Nutrition Expert Course to become a certified personal training and nutrition expert to help others. #MultiPassionateEntrepreneur

I was getting back to being me.

Your mindset and health have a huge impact on the success of your business. Your success in general. They have an impact on your quality of life.

So if you're treating yourself like crap (eating poorly, not exercising, thinking poorly)...you're not going to get the results you're looking for in life.

Which is why I became a health coach in combination with teaching business owners about email marketing and sales funnels. The write marketing & sales tools along with the right mindset, health and self care can make you an unstoppable force!

Forever in corner!

p.s. Super impressed you hung in there to the end of this!! You're a rockstar my friend!
